At Gifts Giving Back, we believe that every person deserves the joy of a book. Founded with a mission to foster a love of reading in the Valley, our nonprofit works to put gently loved and gently used books into the hands of readers of all ages, from toddlers discovering their first stories to adults seeking new adventures.
Our Giving Library events and book donation programs create opportunities for families to explore books, build literacy, and share in the magic of reading together. But our work is about more than just books- it’s about community, connection, and spreading kindness.

Our Story
Gifts Giving Back began with a simple act of kindness. A friend, a teacher, needed help supporting a student in her classroom, and Ashley provided a few books. Watching the children light up as they read and explored those stories was unforgettable. That small moment planted the seed for something bigger.
Not long after, Ashley met Lani, who shared the same passion for literacy and community. Together, they realized they could do more — that they could create a space where books aren’t just read, but gifted, cherished, and shared with children and adults throughout the Valley.
From that shared vision, Gifts Giving Back was born: a nonprofit dedicated to spreading the joy of reading, fostering curiosity, and building community — one book at a time.
